Yes. Our only office is in Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, at Haware Intelligentia Park on the Sanpada-Turbhe Road. It is open Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Clients from Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai usually come in for the first meeting. Call +91 8291849797 before you come, so that an advocate is free to see you.
Yes, for work that can be done remotely: advice, document review, drafting agreements and notices, and filings that can be made online. Consultations are by phone, WhatsApp or video call. If your matter needs a hearing in another city, we explain at the first consultation how appearances will be handled and what that will cost, before you decide.
Yes, if you are eligible for free legal aid under Section 12 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. That covers women and children, members of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, persons with disabilities, industrial workmen, people in custody, victims of trafficking or disaster, and people whose income is below the limit the state has fixed. Apply to the District Legal Services Authority or the Taluka Legal Services Committee where you live.
Mainly the kind of work. Drafting and notices can be priced in advance: our legal notice drafting, for example, is from Rs 5,000. Court work depends on the forum, the number of hearings, how urgent the matter is and how many documents have to be read. We give you the fee for your matter at the consultation, before any work starts.
Start with a video call and send scanned papers by email. If someone has to sign or appear in India for you, you appoint that person by a power of attorney, signed abroad, apostilled or attested by the Indian mission, and stamped here after it arrives. We draft it to cover exactly the acts needed and nothing more, which protects you if your relationship with the attorney changes.
A short note of what happened, with dates, and copies of the main papers: the agreement or deed, any notice or letter you received, court papers or the FIR, and the names of the other parties. Send them to info@vivs.in or on WhatsApp. Reading them first lets us spend the consultation on your options rather than on collecting facts.
Ask whether the advocate regularly handles that kind of case and in which court, who will actually attend the hearings, and what the fee covers. Check that the advocate is enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. Be wary of anyone who promises a particular result: no advocate can, and the Bar Council rules do not allow it.
