How the first consultation works
Once your enquiry reaches us, one of our advocates reads it and calls you. In that call we ask a few questions, tell you whether the matter is one we handle, and fix a slot for a proper consultation.
The consultation itself can be at our office in Sanpada, on the phone or on a video call, whichever suits you. For property and recovery matters it helps to meet across a table with the papers, but many clients, especially those living abroad, finish the whole matter without visiting even once.
At the end of the consultation you should know three things: where you stand in law, what the next step is, and what it will cost. If we think the matter is not worth pursuing, we will say so.
What to keep ready before you call
You do not need a file in perfect order. A few documents, even as phone photos, let us give you a useful opinion in the first sitting.
- Property matters: the agreement or sale deed, the 7/12 extract or property card, society share certificate, and any notice you have received.
- Divorce and family matters: the marriage certificate, addresses of both spouses, details of children, and any court papers already served.
- Loan, SARFAESI or recovery matters: the sanction letter, the demand or possession notice, and the account statement.
- Motor accident claims: the FIR, panchnama, medical papers and bills, and the vehicle and insurance details.
- NRI matters: passport and OCI or visa page, and the documents of the property or case in India.
You can email these to info@vivs.in before the consultation so we read them first.
Clients outside Mumbai and outside India
We have one office, in Sanpada, Navi Mumbai. Clients in other cities and abroad work with us online: consultation by video, documents by email, and signatures through a registered Power of Attorney where the law allows it.
If your matter needs a hearing in a court outside Maharashtra, we tell you at the first consultation how the appearance will be handled and what it will cost, before you decide anything.
For the services we offer to NRIs, see our NRI legal services page.
Reaching our office in Sanpada
The office is Office 219, Haware Intelligentia Park, Plot No. 33, Sector 24, on the Sanpada-Turbhe Road, Navi Mumbai 400783. The map above opens directions in Google Maps.
We are open Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Please call before coming so that the advocate handling your matter is free when you arrive; walk-ins sometimes have to wait.
Confidentiality of what you send us
Whatever you write in the form or send by email is read only by our advocates and staff, and is kept confidential. Sending an enquiry does not by itself make us your advocates; that happens once we agree to take up the matter and you confirm the terms.
Please do not send original documents by post unless we ask for them. Copies are enough at this stage. You can read how we handle personal data in our privacy policy.
